I am not related to the family.
I found the document on
ancestry.com
If you go to the emigration section and use "ign*" for the first name, and
"szczyp*" for the last name, it should pop up. The * is a wildcard character on
ancestry.com. Using it, brings up results for everyone whose name begins with whatever
letters are before the *, and ignores any letters after those initial letters.
For instance, joh* would bring up John, Johan, Johann, Johannes, joh34niknald, etc.
You can also use it for the ends of names: *ohn would bring up john, frohn,
23kjlkjjleieohn, etc.
You have to have at least three characters on one side of the *: joh* would work, jo*
would not work. *red would work, but *ed would not.
You cannot use the star more than once in a box: you couldn't search for first name
*oh*, for instance.
I don't know anything about the previous emigration to the US.
Regards,
Chris Kovach
