Cleo A. Ferrell.
Cleo A. Ferrell, 431 Dixie Highway South, suburban Roseland, died at 5:30 a.m. today
in Memorial Hospital after a year's illness. Born in Big Springs, W. Va., June 1,
1880, he came to South Bend 14 years ago from Abiline, Tex. A retired oil well driller,
he was married in 1911 in Grantsville, W. Va., to Chloe Belt. She survives. Surviving
besides the widow are four daughters, Miss Delia Ferrell, of South Bend; Mrs. Florence
Abrams, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Virginia Redasics, also of South Bend, and Mrs. Edna Kinzer,
of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, James Ferrell, of South Bend; one grand daughter; a brother, N.
B. Ferrell, of Clarksburg, W. Va.; and one sister, Mrs. Effie Bickerstaff, of Grantsville.
Friends may call in the Hay Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today until 9 a.m. Monday when the
body will be taken to Community Congregation Church where friends may call until 10 a.m.
services in the church. Rev. C. Paul Santa, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in
St. Joseph Val!
