Hi Angie,
I too agree with the rest of the group. Most of my relatives could care
less about helping but they all want to know what I find.
Just a little side story. I recently began writing to my mother's
step-brother to try to fill some gaps. I have never met him and we live in
different states. We send the obligatory Christmas cards etc. He was very
happy when he found out I was doing genealogy research and started to
e-mail me. (This man does not usually write to anyone.) We now share a
the passion of genealogy and correspond often. We are going to try to meet
in the future as he has two daughters that I have never met either. This
would have never happened if I had not started the research and initiated a
letter. You never know what to expect. Keep in mind nowadays if you write
strangers they might think you are up to no good. Unfortunately, it is the
times we live in. Sometimes it helps to take a break for a few weeks.
