Violet Holdren, 94
Wells County native Violet Emma Holdren, of Mishawaka, died Saturday, Aug. 28 in the
Fountain View Nursing Home in that city.
Born Jan. 3, 1910 to Leroy and Nora King Dolby, she was preceded in death by her
first husband, Elmer Bennett in 1935, and her second husband, Orval Holdren, in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Clyde Bennett of Montpelier; four daughters, Esther Towns of
Selma, Patricia Conwell of Muncie, Hannah Greider of Sturgis, Mich., and Cathy Kopp of
Statesville, N.C.; a sister, Crystal Netrefa of Marion; 23 grandchildren; and several
great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
There will be no service or calling. The body was cremated. Memorials may be made to
any hospice.
