Mrs. Charles W. Fowler

Mrs. Charles W. Fowler, aged 77, of 1131 East Bowman Street, died in her
home at 2:40 a.m. today after four weeks illness. She was born in Hanover, Pa.,
Aug. 8, 1864, and came here 54 years ago from LaPorte, Ind. She was married
in LaPorte in 1883 to Mr. Fowler, who survives. She leaves also three sons,
George, Alvin and Harold Fowler, of South Bend; three daughters, Mrs. Blanche
Ek and Mrs. Chloa Driscoll, of Roseland, this county, and Mrs. Myrtle Webber,
of South Bend; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and a brother,
Jake Jones, of LaPorte. She was a member of Live Oak Grove Woodmen Circle.
Friends may call at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home tonight and until the
funeral there at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Waldemar Goffeney, pastor of Zion
Evangelical and Reformed church, will officiate. Burial will be in Bowman cemetery.
