Hi Sally,
Just maybe the person who looked the record up for you found a record
for different people. Maybe with similar names...or even same names.
Riede is not a very usual name,,,,but never know!
Just a thought!

Hi!
A very nice volunteer kindly looked up a marriage record I had asked
for
from St. Joseph's County.
However, there is a huge discrepancy. According to the marriage record
at
the county level, the marriage took place Jan 2, 1918 in St. Joseph's
County.
According to the bride's death notice, her and her husband were
married in
Battle Creek, MI in 1905. This is where they also lived most of thier
lives.
Son Lee was born in Toledo, OH in 1906.
Question: if I send for the marriage record from St. Joseph's County,
will
it state if it was a delayed registration? Any other explanations for
the
huge difference in years?
The groom's surname was RIEDE....
Thanks,
Sally in Michigan
