I am sorry I accidently deleted the query from the person wanting to know
where they might obtain divorce records . I do have the following information
that might help.If you write a letter to the St. Joseph County Archives at
1140 So. Lafayette
South Bend, Indiana 46613, and send a self addressed stamped envelope , they
may be able to help you. They do charge a small ( I think it is now a nickle
a page) fee, but they are very helpfull and friendly. It may take a while
for them to get back to you, they have court business records to deal with in
the AM hours, and have a few volunteers in the afternoon to do look-ups.It
took me 3 monthes the first time, but since they have been quite prompt. Be
sure to send them all the information, and dates you have . If there were
children involved in the divorce, there may be custody paper you would want
to get also. These people are great , and if you are ever in the area, a
GREAT place to visit.
Good Luck, hope this will help you !
