Have you tried the Burgenland Gang - Austria-German-Hungarian. I just
found a trace to one of my family members there! They are really great
in their research, and terrific in helping!

Hello Listers,
I am really stuck with my Joseph C. Lindecker, born 1828 in Germany.
He
came to the US in about 1856, and ended up in St. Josephs in 1860.
I can
follow him to Ohio, but I can't find when he arrived, the ship, or
any other
listing for him before he had his son in 1860.
I have been thru the volumes of Germans to America. I have been
looking
thru all the CD's. I just cannot find a record for him. All I know
is that
he worked for the Milburn Wagon Works and followed them to Toledo in
1874.
Can anyone help me? The LDS is 2 hrs. from here, and I didn't find
much
there...Here is what I have..............
Joseph C. Lindecker b 1828
married
Josephine Otolf b 1827
Carl Lindecker b 1855, Germany
Jos. Conrad Lindecker b Aug 1860, Mishawaka (found in St Jos. Parish
records)
Annie Mary Lindecker b 1863, Mishawaka
ANY help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Mimi
