I've "rescued" an old photograph album which appears to have belonged to
the
FASSNACHT Family and includes photographs identified as FASSNACHT, STUBER,
and DEAL Family members. Most of the photographs are from South Bend,
Indiana, however, others are from Carmi, Illinois; Falls City, Nebraska; and
Michawaka, Indiana. Most of the photographs were taken in the 1870's to
early 1900's and are all studio photographs.
The album contains a total of 23 photographs including the following
identified as:
1. Memorial Card for Mary E. FASSNACHT d. 11 March 1896 at age 13 yrs, 6
mon, 12 days
2. Two copies of a photograph of Louise STUBER FASSNACHT and her
"unidentified" spouse, taken at the McDonald Studio in South Bend, Indiana,
notes that Louise is about 40 years of age at the time and that the
photograph was taken before Amelia was born, probably taken in the 1880's or
1890's
3. Photograph of Martha FASSNACHT, no studio location, probably taken in
the 1890's, name "Mrs. Willis DEAL" also appears on the back of the
photograph as if it might have been gifted to her, Martha seems to appear in
other unidentified photographs throughout the album, including one which
appears to be a photograph of three siblings (two female and one male)
I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old
treasure can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this
family or know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
