Hello, my father worked for REA Express, and I also have childhood memories of South
Bend. For sure there is a book somewhere that has photos of the old South Bend, as there
is a popular demand for it. My family knew the Boyer, Molnar, and many other families in
South Bend. As children, I remember visiting the Boyers, Molnars, and Nemeths among
others. I even remember Dr. Petrass who made house visits, and years later, Dr. Slominski.
We need to start a memory book. Nadine

I for one, hope someone knows where a person could get copies of
photo's. I am a 1968 New Carlisle Graduate transplanted further south. I
also, would like to know where one might be able to purchase pictures of
the Studebaker Plant. My Dad was a mechanic in the Studebaker Dealership
across the street. Sherman-Shouse-Freeman, and then later on
Freeman-Spicer. I used to watch the chassis cross Main Street when I was
little. I rode my tricycle, and pedal fire engine all over that
building. I took my driving test in a 1960 Studebaker Lark. I remember a
lot of the guys that Dad worked with. They all called him "Smitty". If
anyone finds out could you please let me know. Thanks all, Marty Smith
