My gg-grandmother, Susannah Eaton, daughter of one of the earliest settlers
of Clay Township,
following the early death of her husband, my ancestor Andrew LOVE, married
John R. THOMPSON, in about 1838. They had each been widowed, with small
children:
Charles Milton LOVE
Clarissa LOVE
Isaac LOVE
Matilda B. THOMPSON
Allen A. THOMPSON
Following their marriage, they had four children:
John H. THOMPSON, born about 1841
Nancy THOMPSON, born about 1843
Anthony Defreese (Pat) THOMPSON, born 2 May 1845, died 8 May 1908
Elizabeth THOMPSON, born about 1847
John R. THOMPSON died about 1848, but Susannah and her merged families
resided through the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses in Clay Township.
I would like to contact descendants of any of the THOMPSON children, in
order to exchange my genealogical information about the family for data
they might have.
I would also like to discover where my gg-grandmother, Susannah (Eaton)
Love Thompson was buried. She died in 1888 at the Mishawaka residence of
her daughter, Elizabeth, and her funeral was held at the church on
Cleveland Road near Highway 33, but her obituary didn't give her burial
place.
Any help, hints or information would be greatly appreciated.
