Thank you Rick! I make this 5000-6000 mile drive on a 4 week vacation doing research
every summer. I can't tell you how much time I've lost trying to find a cemetery
(the really rural ones) and then in the larger cemeteries trying to find a grave.
Sometimes I happen to arrive on a Sunday or late afternoon when the offices are closed.
So every year I get better at this...asking for help and information *ahead* of time :)
I always pictured in my mind that Rosanna was buried in a small rural cemetery. I've
looked for "South Lawn Cemetery" occassionally on the internet and never found
anything --- again leading me to think it would be a small cemetery... And then as a
response to my email last night I find out it's really "Southlawn Cemetery".
I can't believe I overlooked that thought!!
If you happen to have an index listing can you tell me if there are Gallagher's buried
there also? Rosanna's maiden name was Gallagher and it's really her grandfather
that I'm *most* interested in. His name was Salathiel Gallagher -- a pretty unusual
given name for a Gallagher -- if I ever find one with this name I'm pretty sure
he'll be mine! Anyway Salathiel Gallagher was likely born about 1800-1810. His son
Gibson Gallagher was born in White Pigeon, St. Joseph county, Michigan in 1831. I
don't know how long Salathiel lived or where he died.
This will be my first trip to Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. I'll print and take your
directions with me!
Appreciate any help you or your listers can provide :)
Best wishes,
Bonnie (Gallagher) Gilson

Hi Bonnie!
Nice to have you on the list! :-) I'm Rick B, your friendly neighborhood
List Administrator.
I don't live that far from Southlawn so I'm quite familiar with it. Its
easy to get to and find. Its on US 31 South and you enter in from there,
and its a fairly good sized cemetery.
For your Rosann Kratser, she's buried in that north section behind the small
brick office building about 32 rows in. When you pull into the main drive
hang a left. Her gravestone has 1859-1930.
If you need additional directions, please let me know.
