I'm assuming they're relatives. There was a Michael Edwin Kaslly, whose address on his World War I draft card is the same as Jack C. Kaslly's address on his WWI draft card. I'm pretty sure this Michael is the son of Peter and Teresa Keczeli (Kaslly) from South Bend.

That is very interesting info. However, not sure these are the folks I am searching for. Oldest person I have on my website is Jack Charles Kaslly; born Feb 15 1891 in Austria-Hungary. This was off his draft registration card from 1942. He was married to Yvonne Kassly; and she came over on a navy ship in 1919 as a married person; listed as Yvonne Kaslly. She was born in France, so I am tempted to believe that Jack Charles was over in Europe during WWI and married her there.
After the war they lived in Toledo, Ohio..
just have not found any connections to Jack Charles, other than the Kaslly's in South Bend were also from Austria-Hungary. Coincidence, or relatives?????
Thank you for the info also...
steve

Here's what I've been able to dig up:
In the 1910 Census, in St. Joseph County, Peter, his wife Elizabeth, and children Peter Jr., Michael E. and John C., are living in South Bend. Peter and Elizabeth say they have been married less than a year; Elizabeth says she has no children. They each say they have been married twice. Peter and the kids emigrated in 1898; Elizabeth emigrated in 1909.
About 16 Oct 1909, in South Bend, Pete Keczli, who was born 6 May 1869, the son of Paul Keczeli and Anna Kish (both deceased), married Erzsebet Toth , born 28 May 1879, the daughter of Steve Toth and Elizabeth Mago (both deceased). Peter says he was married once before, divorced in 1906. Elizabeth says this is her first marriage.
About 7 Jun 1916, in South Bend, Peter Kesely, born 6 May 1869, the son of Paul Kessey and Anna Kish (both deceased) married Ennie Folv, born 13 Jun 1888, the daughter of Paul Folv and Tressa Homer (both deceased). Peter says he was married twice before (divorced in 1906 and 1912). Ennie says she was married once before, divorced in 1916.
(Note: I think "Ennie" is "Annie"; Kish = Kiss or Kis; Homer MIGHT be Homor; don't know about Folv)
On 2 Apr 1927, in Memorial Presbyterian Church in South Bend, Karoly Kasely, age 21, married Jane Horvath, age 18. (Note: Karoly = Karl = Charles)
About 7 Sep 1920, in South Bend, John C. Kaslly, born 1 Jan 1897 in South Bend, the son of Peter Kaslly (born Austria, living South Bend) and Theresa Moyer (born Austria, living Minneapolis) married Pauline Casper, born 18 Apr 1900 in Detroit, the daughter of Henry Casper (born Germany, living Detroit) and Barbara Barnhart (born St. John's, living Detroit). This is the first marriage for each. (Note: the Hungarian name Major would sound a lot like Moyer to Americans)
On 27 Dec 1899 on the SS Kensington, Teresia Keczeli (age 25) and her sons Peter (4), Mihaly (3) and Janos (2), Hungarians from Petrovoselo, are coming to South Bend to see their husband/father, Peter Keczeli. (Note: Teresia = Theresa; Mihaly = Michael; Janos = John; Petrovoselo, also known as Peterreve, was in Bacs-Bodrog county in the old Kingdom of Hungary. It is now in Serbia)
According to his World War I draft registration, John C. Kassly was born 1 Jan 1897 in Austria.
According to his obituary in the 3 May 1950 South Bend Tribune, Peter Kaslly Sr. was born 6 May 1869 in Ada, Hungary. He came to the US around 1900; and had a grocery store on Eddy St. He is survived by his widow Anna Margaret Kally; four children: Michael and Peter Jr. of Toledo Ohio, John C. of Centerline, Mich., and Kathryn, of Minneapolis, Minn; two stepsons, Peter Kasally Jr. and Charles, both of South Bend. (note: Ada was in the Bacs-Bodrog county of the old Kingdom of Hungary; it is now in Serbia)
Here is a link to Peter Sr's baptism record from familysearch.com:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/X626-PT5
If you search by the parents' names, you'll find that Peter had siblings Daniel, Veronika, Adam, Eve, Elizabeth and Mathias.
According to her obituary in the 29 April South Bend Tribune, Anna Kaslly was born in Hungary 22 Aug 1889. She married Peter Kaslly in 1916 in Elkhart. She is survived by two sons, Peter and Charles, both of South Bend.
According to his obituary in the 1 Mar 1985 South Bend Tribune, Peter Kassly was born 22 Jan 1912, in South Bend and survived by a brother Charles of Pavares, Fla.
According to his obituary in the 5 Jun 1995 South Bend Tribune, Charles Kaslly, of Merritt Island, Florida formerly of South Bend was born 9 Feb 1907 in Szombathely, Hungary and lived in South Bend until 1973. He is survived by his wife, Jane Kassly of Merritt Island; and a brother-law, Robert Horvath of South Bend. (Note: Szombathely, also known as Sabaria, Sabavia, and Stein am Anger, was in Vas county in the Kingdom of Hungary.
Regards,
Chris Kovach

ANYBODY have any info about Kaslly Family? They came from Austria Hungary; Peter and Elizabeth were the parents; 1910 census in Indiana has Peter Jr., Michael and John. Thinking they had an older son named Jack also. He was born in 1891.
Having a very tough time finding info on them. Family moved to Ohio between 1910 and 1920.
