Thank you so much for the info on Fred and Alice VanLiew. Do you possibly have the day the obits appeared so that I can add the day and month of their deaths to my records? Again, thank you so much for the info!

Sorry to be gone so long again. Had another series of mishaps including a virus taking over my computer. I'll no longer be posting these listings to the Message Board. Its a little too quirky sometimes for these types of postings. They'll come to the list only. :-) ----Rick B

There is also information on the web page for the Cemetery and who to contact. They would more than likely have further information there.

I am trying to determine parents of Mable Luther. I found her in 1900 Olive Tp census age 16 and listed as boarder. Further down on page is an Oscar Luther, age 40 and his wife Eliza/Elizabeth? Possible parents of Mable???
In 1904 Mable Luther married Frank Smith.
Does anyone have either Mable or Oscar LUTHER in their tree?

Thank you for your reply. I do not know for absolute that she died in So Bend. All I know is that she is buried in Southlawn Cemetary in South Bend and family members stated that "Aunt Alice from South Bend" used to visit. Could it possibly be under a different spelling? I have seen the name spelled VanLieu also. TIA!

I think her maiden name is Halas. That's what is listed on her kids' baptism records at St. Hedwige. I don't know the village of origin, though.

Hi List,
I am trying to get an obit for Lida J. NAGY (Nee MORGAN).
Unfortunately, I have not found a complete death date. She died in
South Bend in May 1968. I'm not sure, but, I think her husband's name
was Louis. That is just from a rough search so far and the only one
that seems to fit.
Indiana Marriage Collection, 1800-1941
about Lida J. Morgan
Name: Lida J. Morgan
Spouse Name: Louis Nagy
Marriage Date: 29 Mar 1920
Marriage County: St. Joseph
Source Title 1: St. Joseph County, Indiana
Source Title 2: Index to Marriage Records South Bend City Marriage
Source Title 3: W. P. A Book Numbers Indicates Location of Record
Book: 31
OS Page: 48
Lida was born in Childress, Texas on August 28, 1899. She was the
daughter of Augustus (Gus) MORGAN and Margaret JACKSON. Lida had 4
sisters. At least 3 of them passed away after she did. I haven't
found the date of youngest sister.
Any help with finding her complete death date and obituary would be
greatly appreciated. If an obit is found, it does not need to be
snail mailed to me. It can be either typed out in an e-mail with name
of Newspaper, date and page # for my sourcing or it can be sent as a
.jpg with same sourcing info.
I have tried different online newspaper websites as well as Genweb,
Genforum, Google, Find A Grave and other sources. I have even tried
Ancestry and Family Search and FootNote. RAOGK does not have a
volunteer for St. Joseph County.
Thanks so much for your time and help. I live out of state so can't
get to libraries myself.

Hi list,
If someone has time---
Would like some help on 1920 South Bend, ward 3, ED 237, sheet 11B
William J. Connors is listed as head of household at age 20 yrs. There is another person living with him, an Arthur Farwick/Farwich. I have looked and looked at the relationship to head of household and just cannot decide what the word is. Would love to see what someone thinks!
Thanks,
Sue
