Thank you. The names are: Joseph Urbanski, George Koloszar, John Springer, and Peter Nyikos. I have been so confused about how to get the naturalization records. If that is too many names, I can send my mom to look them up if you let me know where to send her, but I have not even been able to direct her to the right place to go or what to ask for. Hopefully, getting the numbers from the index will put me on the right track of requesting the info. That will be my next hurdle to tackle!

The county record center does have an index. If you want to send me the name, I will check the next time I am at the archives. If it is before 1860, the record is still in the county records.

Fortunately, I had the certificates issued to our relatives. However, you may want to check the SB main library and find out if they have some type of index. They might even have an index at the SB Archives. I remember going over to check.

Message Board Post:
I found a record in the Indiana Marriage Collection on Ancestry for the following marriage:
Anthony Wlodarski and Elenora Berowska from 13 Aug 1912 in the INdex to Marriage records South Bend City Marriages, book 25, page 7. I think the mother of Anthony Wlodarski may be related to my Przedzienkowski family that I am researching in South Bend area.
We also came across an item (via a google book search) related to this marriage on page171 in a book by G. Lucky Ladewski and Gene Stachowiak Szymarek titled Polish Marriage Applicants, St. Joseph County, Indiana (1905-1915).
I was hoping I could find someone to help me do a lookup for that marriage from one or both of those two sources.
thanks in advance

My uncle, William Shirk (b. 2-4-1876, d. 5-2-1947) was Assessor of German Township, St. Joseph County, for a number of years.
Upon his death, his wife Mary (Thompson) Shirk, continued as Assessor. She was born in 1885 and died in 1956. They were borh buried in Riverview Cemetery, in the lot adjacent to my parents.
My son was asking me some questions a few days ago, and I wasn't able to bring up all the answers from my memory, so I would like to obtain a
copy of the newspaper obituaries for both Uncle Willie and Aunt Mary.
I haven't been able to make a trip back east from my home in California for a number of years, and would appreciate any help on obtaining the obituaries as well as any other information that might be forthcoming.
I'll be glad to reimburse for any expense.
Thanks for the help.
