I normally just charged for copies. I never really had a chance to really dig into it because I went to work full time. I used a person in Michigan to do lookups for me and they charged for copies, postage and a 5 dollar lookup fee for each item I needed unless it was really difficult and needed a lot of research, then they charged 3 per hour.
Hope this helps.

Hi everyone!
Just wanted all of you to know that I haven't given up on the Newspaper Tidbits Project. Due to my strange work schedule it has been difficult to carve out a regular time slot to type these up and send them to the lists. As soon as I can get enough of them typed up, I'll begin posting again. I need to finish typing one more newspaper page and then we'll be rolling again. You should start seeing these again this month.
Once Newspaper Tidbits resumes, there will be one change in its delivery.
Delivery to the Yahoo List will remain the same.
Delivery to the Rootsweb list will change. In order to give the Tidbits the widest possible audience, I'm going to post these messages to the St. Joseph Message Board which will gateway to the INSTJOSE List. For the past two years, these postings were exclusive to the mailing list members with Sharon reposting to the website. With the inclusion of the Message Board, more people will see these and search them out which is the purpose of this project.
The purpose has always been to get as much information as possible out there for people trying to find their lost relatives.
Thanks for your patience!
Rick B

Information
We are the former Rootsweb Mailing Lists of INSTJOSE, INELKHAR, INFULTON, INKOSCIU, INLAGRAN, INLAPORT, INMARSHA, INNOBLE, INPORTER, MIBERRIE, MICASS, and MIVANBUR. Due to a long history of little to no traffic it made sense to merge all groups into one regional list. A discussion and research group covering the history and genealogy of the counties that make up the Michiana area. Counties in Indiana; St. Joseph, LaPorte, Elkhart, and Starke. In Michigan; Cass and Berrien. Also counties of Greater Michiana. In Indiana; Fulton, Marshall, Porter, LaGrange, Noble, Kosciusko . In Michigan; Van Buren. Anyone interested in Michiana is welcome to join!
