Hi:
People missing from a later census but on the one 10 years earlier
often means they may have died sometime during that period. You probably
should check the Starke County for death certificates. that's how found
great grandfather's death certificate.
Good luck

Hi Listers,
I'm looking for information on James Anderson, b. Sept. 1865. I found him
in the 1900 Starke County census in North Bend Twp. However, he is missing
in the 1910 census but his wife Catherine, b. Feb. 1865 is listed as Head of
household. Their children's names are Frank R., b. Aug 1888; Charles F., b.
Nov 1891; William T., b. Apr 1893; Harry F., b. Dec. 1894; Ettie L./Leona E.
b. Mar 1896; and Hillasa L./Hilura, b. Nov 1899 in the 1900 census.
James was a Section Foreman on the railroad according to the 1900 census. I
think he may have been a brother to my ggrandfather Martin L. Anderson of
Wabash County, Indiana who also happened to be a Section Foreman on the
railroad. James' children's names are consistent with the names of my
Anderson line.
Hopefully, someone out there will recognize this family. Thank you very much.
