People who died during that time frame did not always have a death
certificate.
Many of my relatives that died in Starke County didn't.
Try the obituary route. I have found obituaries for my people where death
certificates have failed. The Knox Paper goes back that far. I had a lady
that married in Starke County and died in Chicago shortly after and she had
an obituary in the Knox Paper.
