The two counties adjoin one another. At one point he may have lived
close to where the county lines touch. Have you heard from anyone in that
area?
Do you by any chance have the name spelled "HEMMINGER" as well? And, if
so, could they have originated in PA?

I recently received my great grandfather's social security application
in which he lsited Oak grove, Marshall county as his birth place. I have
been unable to find an Oak grove in Marshall county but, it appears there
is one in Starke County. I am throughly confused by this. Are the two
counties
even located in the same general area?
Charles Edward Heminger was born January 3, 1899, to Rosetta Maudlin and
Uriah Heminger.
If anyone could shed some light on the place names I would be very
grateful...
