In the obit of Elizabeth Vankirk Scott, it mentions two of her siblings' names, which match the names of
Elizabeth's siblings (two of them) in the census records, so also my Elizabeth and your George are brother and sisters. Check the Vankirk family lines that Jarrod W. Vankirk entered in World Connect Project (Rootsweb.com), as he has it going way back. I believe in my records I have the place where John and/or Mary are buried if you need it.
My wife's g-g-grandfather and g-g-grandmother are the John and Mary Vankirk that you mentioned. Her line is through John and Mary's son, George. As far as information on the Vankirk's I hve a GEDCOM that I downloaded from Ancestry.com. I am still in the process of proving it.
Hi Mark- just found this couple in 1900 census- Lydia was born Feb 1872 in Indiana, parents in Ohio. I have a Lydia born in Carroll County (fairly close) who may be the same- do you have any particulars ? Marshall.
Regarding Elizabeth Vankirk, yes, that is my ancestor. Please tell me what ancestor in the Vankirk family is yours? Do you have any more information on any of the Vankirk family?
