Hi Donna,
In the 1850 census: those were all his kids... except for one boarder or
whoever the Glover was... Maybe he was hired to do the work of Joseph's
farm, since Joseph was dying. I think that is why all the kids were there
to say goodby to their father before he died. (Our best friends next door
are a Glover family...)
I never found a marriage record of Joseph marrying Elizabeth Mitchell
Lahue.
Who is "my Rachel?" I am confused by this statement. I don't have any
Connors in my database.
The only reason I did any research on Lahues was I was trying desparately to
figure out why she was in the house of Joseph Brown and not his wife. It
took a few years to dig up the divorce papers of Joseph and Susannah Carter
Brown. Then it all kind of fell together.

Thanks Kathie for the info on Lehew. I found Eliz. on the 1850 census in
Porter with your Joseph Brown. Dau. Minerva is living there too with her
husband James Branning and their three children. Did Joseph run
a boarding house?
He wasn't married to Eliz. Lehew was he?
I am actually researching Conners. I have your Rachel in my files
as Lehew
Conners wife. I am trying to prove or disprove that John Russel Conners
wife
Rebecca's maiden name was Lehew/Lahue. I can't find anything to
document
this. Someone said that it is written on her tombstone but I have a
photo of
that and it is not on there unless it is on the back of the
tombstone. Do
you have anything on Rebecca being a Lehew since Lehew Conner may have
gotten
his name from Lehews. Also, I have three ch for Rachel and Lehew, John,
James B, and Lemuel. Were there any more?
