Hi Kathie,

Just curious about why you are seeking Edward Askins
and Ann Husted in Spencer County, IN cemeteries - I would assume if anywhere they would be
buried in Hancock Co, KY or Perry Co, IN.

They were last on 1840 census
living in Lewisport, Hancock Co, KY with the same children as were with them on the 1830
census. In 1820 they had been living in Perry Co, IN and I think that his brothers'
families and possibly one or more of his children stayed there.

Did you
ever find out who Edward Askins' father was? The reason I ask is that the Askins were
quite into serving in the military from very early Rev War days to the Indian Wars and war
of 1812 and the civil war, etc. and even up to today they are still quite active in
serving in the military.

I will glance and see if I can locate my Terry
Book and Sandage Book because a lot of the Breckenridge Co, KY Askins married into these
families as well as the Bolin and I think the Kinder family too (a!
ll these families related to me), and Breckenridge Co, KY is where Edward was before he
hit Perry Co, IN (1820 census). (Breckenridge Co, KY is where they married in 1803 and
why I mentioned those Askins with relation to my Bolin, Kinder, Sandage, Terry persons
too).

Maybe I can find some mention of where they died or were buried
and will write you back here if I find anything new.

Judy Sandage
