Clara, It is probably a slip, but the children would be Hartz children not
Kuntz children. Kuntz was Magdalena's maiden name. The unmarked
graves are probably the children I am looking for. I don't even know
their names and their death unfortunately occurred before the 1900
census. Thank you so much for the look-up. Jane

Jane,
I found Magdalena Hartz in Spencer County (Ind.) Cemetery Inscriptions,
Volume III, buried in Section L, Row 9, Grave 4. She was born 07-06-1857 and
died 10-04-1894. Remarks: w/o Joannes -- nee Kuntz. No Kuntz children were
in the index. However, there were 2 unmarked graves nearby. One immediately
next to her grave and another, three graves away, were simply noted "Iron
Cross." These may, or may not be, the graves of the Kuntz children.

Subject: [INSPENCE] Mariah Hill Cemetery
Does anyone on this list have an index to Mary Help of Christians Cemetery
in Mariah Hill, Spencer County, Indiana. I recently obtained an obit for
Lena (Magdalena) Hartz who died October 4, 1894 and was buried in Mary Help
of Christians Cemetery.
In the obit it states "This has been a family very sadly bereaved; two of
the children having died within the past month." This means she had two
children who died in September 1894.
They were probably buried in Mary Help of Christians Cemetery. I am seeking
to find their names and dates of birth. Any help will be most appreciated.
Jane
