Could I get in on this? My ancestors John and Jemima
Harrison were listed as charter members of the Little Pigeon
Baptist Church in Spencer Co which was organized in 1816.
(Lincoln's Youth, Indiana Years 1816-1830) I think the
Lincolns came a little later. This has always been a
question in my mind because of the fact that the Harrisons
seemed to have settled in 1818 in Grass Twp which was not
all that close to where the church was. After many years of
searching I have not been able to locate them before 1818,
except for that mention.

Chuck, Family tradition states that my grandparents SEE attended the
Little Pigeon River Baptist Church, Spencer Co, IN with the LINCOLN
family in the 1818-19 era.
Could you validate that the LINCOLNs were members during that era?
Thanks, Hal McCawley of San Francisco
