JESSE S FRANK
The subject of this sketch JESSE S FRANK was born near Patronville,
on Nov 14 1864. He spent his entire life in that vicinity.
He was converted at an early age and united with the M.E. Church at
Alexander Chapel and lived a constant Christian life.
He was always at his post in his duty at the church.
He came to Luce Twp some 35 years ago and has since been in our midst.
On Sept 1 1901 he was united in marriage to Miss Ida Eissler at this
time he moved
his church membership to W.B. Church at Ebenezer where he became on
of the substantial
members always ready with his mean and talents to aid in the work.
He has been in ill health for some time but bore his suffering with
that patience belonging to a true
Christian, He closed his eyes in the eternal sleep on Oct 25th 1930,
age 65 yrs 11 mths and 11 dys.
He leaves to morn his passing his wife, three brothers James & Siegel
of Ohio Twp and
E.B. of Oklahoma, two sisters Mrs Izora Young of Rockport and Mrs
Mollie Peterson of
Seatlle Washington and a host of other relatives and friends who will
miss his presence among them.
Truly a good man has gone to his reward. Funeral services were held
at Ebenezer at 2pm Sunday
afternoon conducted by Rev JL BATRAM with burial at Ebenezer Cemetery.

EDWARD GARDNER Obit
Edward Gardner was born in Germany on April 7 1838, he came to
America at the age of 25 years.
He settled in Memphis Tenn later coming to Indiana, He was united in
marriage to HELENA FRANK
in 1879 in Rockport , to this union was born seven children six
daughters and one son.
Two oh his daughters and the son preceeded him in thier childhood.
Surviving him are his wife and daughters, Mrs Bertha Heuwinkle of
Evansville, Mrs Anna
Trinkle of this place, Mrs Katie Bennett of near Chrisney and 11
grandchildren.
He died at the home of his daughter Mrs Anna Trinkle on March 16 1923
at the age
of 83 years 11 mths and 9 days.

Shiloh news
Mr BARNEY FRANK and wife Nettie of Oklahoma arrived Sunday sfternoon
for a visit with
relatives, his childhood home was here in Shiloh now owned by
Lawrence Shrode.
This is his first visit since he left 37 years ago, he will find many
changes, his
old friends will welcome him.

Rockport Journal AUG 28TH 1936 Birthday celebrations
Fourty relatives and friends of MISS POSEY FRANK and her nephew FRANK
L NILES as well as her
grand niece LOIS BRETZ met at the city park Aug 23rd to celebrate the
three birthday aniversaries occurring
that day. During the past week four other members of the family
having had a like anniversary made it
a memorable and pleasant affair.
Those members were MRS LULA LUSK & MINNIE MACKEY Aug 20th,twin
sisters and nieces of Miss Frank.
Mrs GRACE ROSS Aug 21st and Aug 22 MISS MARY BRETZ another grandniece
of Miss Frank.
When the feast was spread at the noon hours there was certainly no
indication of a drought of food,
Everything that would appeal to one in the food line was served.
Those prsent were, Mr & Mrs WM FRANK, Miss POSEY FRANK, Mr & Mrs
ALVIN FRANK and sons,
Mr & Mrs MYLER SHRODE and daughter, Mr & Mrs W BRETZ and family, Mr &
Mrs CLYDE MACKEY and family,
Mrs LULA LUSK and daughtet and grandaughter, Mr & Mrs WESLEY NILES,
Mr & Mrs FRANK NILES,
Mr & Mrs FRANK B HAMILTON and family, Mr & Mrs JOHN LEACH of Guthrie
KY, Mr & Mrs WM V Ross of Indianapolis,
Miss TURA ELLIS and Mrs GRACE ALLEN of Rockport.
All enjoyed the cool shade at the park, the good water, the bountiful
repast, the fellowship of
relatives and friends that made the occassion like this a lasting
memory.

Chrisney Sun May 25 1934 death notices
Mr BURREY SMALL aged 76 yrs was foind dead in his bed in the home of
his daughter Mrs JOHN HABERSTROTH Monday morning around 7 o'clock.
Funeral services were held Wed burial at Shiloh, he leaves his widow
and five daughters. Mrs Haberstroth, Mrs WALTER FRANK, Mrs Ely
Williamson,
Mrs Fay Carlisle and Mrs R Downs.

Rockport Journal Sept 18 1898 deaths
DAVID W FRANK was born in Breckinridge KY on Feb 28 1834 and died
Sept 14 1898
at Mr Greene's residence in Shiloh. He sought the Lord in early life
and was a faithful servant.
He was a soldier in the war and served his country over three years
as a member of
CO F 1ST IND CAV. Sometime after the war he was married to Miss Jane
Hamilton
and three children were born to this union. The wife and two children
proceeded him to the
glory land. There are two sisters and one son left to mourn his
death. The funeral
service took place at Shiloh Church at 3 o'clock Sept 15th with REV F
Merithew officiating.
