I found these land records - from this site:
http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/PatentSearch/Results.asp?Index=26&qryid...
they are putting in more and more land patents - I think they plan on being done by
2009, you can see the actual patents - I don't know too much of this line. where in
Ohio were they? My Lehew's were in Muskingum County.

I'm probably not as good or thorough as you are at coming up with the information,
but I too have been looking in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and
Tennessee for their marriage - no luck here either! Here is the part of the letter that
talks about them coming to Indiana.
(Then comes our Great Great Grandpa John Russell Conner. He and, his wife Rebecca
were natives of Virginia, which was known at that time as the Old Dominion. They moved
to Ohio, and later to Indiana.
In the year of 1820 at the age of 27 John Russell and Rebecca located in Huff Township in
Spencer County, Indiana on a farm known as the Inarend farm. Chills and Malaria fever
forced them to move to the northern part of the county and locate in Clay Township. This
was in 1832. This was when the farm was purchased as this was 169 years ago I dont
know how many acres were bought at that time but, they paid 25 cents an acre.)
Maybe we're not looking early enough - if they had already been in Ohio before 1820 -
they were probably married before they started roaming the country? They were 27 years
old, and most people were married at a younger age in those days. Maybe they had even lost
some older children with the sickness it talks about in Huff township?
I may be way off base, but it's food for thought?
