I can't help your very much with the Mayhew line other than Elisha was a
descendant of Thomas Mayhew Governor & Patentee of Martha's Vineyard.
Elisha's father was Nathaniel Mayhew who moved with his family to Bangor in
1774. I take that info from the book "Henry Tibbetts of Dover, NH and some
of his Descendants" written by May (Tibbetts) Jarvis.
Abigail Tibbett's line is: Henry (came to America in 1635), Jeremiah, Henry,
Capt. Benjamin, William, Abigail. I can help you with this line is you are
interested.
According to the book, Elisha & Abigail were in Lawrenceburg, Dearborn Co. IN
from 1816-1821 then they went to Shelby Co. The book does have some info on
the Mayhew family including a listing of their children. The book does not
follow female lines after they are married.
My husband's gr gr gr grandmother was Patience Tibbetts Ridlen who was in
Dearborn Co. at the same time as Elisha & Abigail. They left York Co. ME in
June 1800, settled first in Clermont Co. OH, and then to Dearborn Co. IN;
finally settled in Decatur Co. IN near St. Paul. I often wonder if these
Tibbetts families who came from Maine knew each other.
