Hi. I am not related to this family, but I went to the Shelby County
Genealogy
Room today and found Juanita's obit. She died 12/20/1981. The
obit was in the Shelbyville News paper dated 12/22/1981, I believe (silly
me, I forgot to write the date down. Hope this helps.
JUANITA SURBER
Mrs. Juanita I Surber, 75, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the
Morristown Nursing Home where she had been residing for several months.
She had
been seriously ill since May.
Born in Lafayette March 28 1906 she lived most of her life in
Shelbyville.
She was married to Claude Surber in Greens- burg. He preceded
her in death on March 5 1963.
Survivors include four children, Mrs. Barbara D. Ahman, Orlando,
Fla., Ronald
Poe, Indianapolis, Mrs, Bonnie Roberts, Shelbyville, and Mrs.
Betty Jones, Shelbyville; 24 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy Mortuary. Burial will
be at
Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral home from 4
p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
