Looking for information on George Titus and Hannah. George died in Shelby county on
August 23, 1835. Looks like he was in Kentucky before coming to Shelby county because his
daughter, Sarah, was born in Kentucky from information I got from LDS website. His
daughter married William Allen in Shelby County on August 8, 1827. Looks like William
Allen was also from Kentucky. They had a daughter, Elizabeth Allen, born in Shelby county
in 1831. Sarah died in 1841 Shelby County. Elizabeth Allen married James Navin on June
27, 1861 in Shelby county. They had a son, Thomas Navin, born April 4, 1862. At this
point looks like the family moved West to Missouri and Nebraska. I was wondering if
anyone has done any research in Shelby county on this family. I know there was a Joseph
Titus and James Titus in early Shelby county. James was connected to the Titus family in
Fountain county, IN which! was of the English ancestry. Joseph Titus I am not sure of his
ancestry and poss!
ibly could be connected to the German line that I am interested. The George Titus I am
interested in has a middle name of Duffield. He should have been on the 1830 census with
the information listed above. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Daniel Titus
