Frances Murnan was born September 28,1860, daughter of Michael Murnan and
Mellisa Hewitt. I have no record of Frances and Albert having twins. Their
daughter Fannie was born in August 1883.

I am trying to find the parents of Mary Frances / Frances Mary Murnan
who
married to Albert Smith. Albert was the twin brother of Austin Smith;
Albert and Austin were sons of Henry C. Smith. According to the 1900
census, Frances was born September 1860. In 1930 both Frances and Albert
were still living in Moral Township. I would also like to know if they
had
twin children of their own, (boy and girl) born August 24, 1883.
Thank
you
for any help you can give.

Alan,
I have the MURNAN page of the 1882-1920 WPA Birth Index for Shelby Co.
There is only one 1883 birth: 25 Sep, son born to Frank and Martha.
Moral Twp is a LONG way from Shelbyville where the doctor would have
recorded the birth. At this early date, the registration was not required
by law. It is not unusual that there is no record. In fact, there are no
children of Albert or Austin recorded. It could be that the doctor sent
the
information to the state, so please check with the IN State Health
Dept.
