Jeannie,
I met a man about 10 years ago that was a POW during WW2. His name was
Kalman Valastek. He passed away about 5 years ago or so. His son is still
around here. I think that his son has the same name.

Subject: [INSHELBY] POW's in Indiana during WWII
I am trying to find German and Italian POW's that were in Indiana in
World War II? I am preparing a booklet on the Austin POW (Morgan's
Canning Factory) camp and I want to be able to put as much information
in the book as possible. Nearby is also Camp Atterbury where my Dad
worked with several Italian soldiers. Information about either of these
camps will be most appreciated.
I found out recently one of the German POW's immigrated to Canada after
the war. But, we do not know his name.
Anyone's recollections are welcome.
