I appreciate the news from LA. My sister lives in Greenwood just west of
Shreveport. I've found many of us have links to Shreveport since Western
Electric, Bell, AT&T, etc. divested. Many Shelby Co. IN people who retired
at that point from Western Electric in the mid to late 80s did and didn't
have to move to Orlando or Shreveport.

I am fine. Shreveport/Bossier City is in the far NW corner of LA, and
New
Orleans is in the far SW corner. "Another Country" we call it up here. ha!
We
capitalize it as "South Louisiana."
We do have half of South Louisiana taking shelter here. They come for
every
storm on the Gulf nowadays. I was going to Target today, but I guess
I
will
skip it, as it is near LSU where there is a big shelter. I bet those
folks
will
be hitting the malls and movies in droves. No much to do in a big
gym.
I have folks in Mobile, etc., and so far they are okay.
I lived in Miami and Ft Lauderdale for years, and I rode out several big
storms. It is not fun even when you are in those outer fringes winds.
Thank you very much for remembering me, Phyllis. That was nice of you.
