Who was your Stone connection? Can't recall the name.
When Levi Young died, Lucinda m Alfred Stone. The marriage was made by P.
Kitchell [JP} and he wrote the return in the court book himself. What connection
to the other Stones there, I do not know.
Alfred and Lucinda are together in the 1850c, with her Young children, minus
an elder dau who was married, and they had a daughter named "Percy" Stone, age
6. I have never been able to find these parents nor this dau again. And I
have really looked under everything I can think of, and nationwide too.
By these histories it seems clear that the school Levi and the Kitchells
started, in a log cabin, was near what became the Hanover Baptist Ch. and later a
new church building became the Christian Church. But neither had anything to
do with the Hanover Cem. Is that how you read it?
It does not seem to be Blood's own cabin, because the earlist Blood owned
land in Sec 24. Maybe this was central. All of the names are people they lived
around, but none of them are listed as members, so they must have been some
other denomination. I can't see them being nothing, or people would not have had
them teach their children, or elect Piercy as a Justice, don't you think?
So, maybe they worshipped somewhere else after all.
