ank you! I was sent new information that the school my Young and his
brother-in-law Kitchell started was near the present Hanover church. It is
rather
confusing
as this memoir says another school [Baptist} was started in a building that
stands today in Hanover cemetery. Then she says they erected this church as
a
"Christian Church". This may have been at Morristown. So, is the Hanover
Church
and cemetery at two different places?

In my lifetime I don't ever recall seeing any building at Hanover Cemetery
and I've been past it about a zillion times since the 40s, right up thru 2003.
The Cemetery is on the Shelbyville Road (I suppose it's the Morristown Road
if you're coming from Shelbyville) south of Morristown. You go south out of
Morristown and the road essentially ends, although you can go right or left,
but right leads you straight into the Hanover Cemetery. The road makes
another 90 degree turn to the left (south) at the cemetery. There's a Christian
Church in Morristown but it's never had Hanover in it's name. I don't ever
recall any Baptist church. There's still a Methodist Church. Used to be a
Nazarene Church but they moved out of the building and it's something else
now, but I don't know what.
It's very flat wide open land all around the cemetery and you can see quite
a distance. There's really nothing but houses on the east side of the road
coming out of Morristown (and those houses are on a hill-- for some reason that
side is not so flat).
