I have seen prior postings and now wonder if AMOS Monroe whose parents were of Colonial
Maryland might be a clue to family?? Maybe the AMOS family of Indiana?? arliss Hoskins

John Monroe II b. Jun. 7, 1803 in Virginia. d. December 5, 1883 in Shelby Co. Married Apr.
6, 1827 in Clermont Co. IN. Amelia Slye b. Feb. 9, 1807. d. Mar. 29, 1896 in Shelby Co.
They are also buried in Winchester Cemetery.
Their children were Elizabeth, James, Cicero, Samuel, John, William, Wesley, Henry, Nancy,
Andrew, Mary, Eliza.

Shelby Co. IN. Married Sept. 16, 1797 in Maryland to Mary Jackson b. Apr. 14, 1775 in NJ.
d. Feb. 6, 1857 in Shelby Co. They are buried in Winchester Cemetery. They had children
John, Joseph, Samuel, Robert, Amos, Joshua, Elizabeth, Ephriam, Jacob.
