I know my family migrated through Shelby County in the early to mid 1800's and I have
made several "discoveries" while researching my family tree. Recently, my
mother passed away in Kokomo and I am going through some boxes of photos and other items.
I came across a fabulous photo which looks to possibly be pre-Civil War. It is a family
reunion of at least 60 - 75 people. I believe it was taken at either the Eads (Eades)
family farm or at the Collins farm. My great, great grandparents were Jonathon and Eliza
Eads and Anderson and Amanda Collins. The photo I discovered this morning was taken by E.
J Gotshall & Sons Photography in Shelbyville, IN.
Not sure what my question is ... just reaching out for any assistance in connecting with
information about the photographer, whether anyone has knowledge of the Eads/Collins
history in Shelby County. I have a pretty good start, just seeking more details.
