I am researching a family tree for my family (in the UK). My
mother's
grandfather (Benjamin Craven; born 1880 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England)
left the UK (under a cloud!) for the USA on the Mauritania, arriving in
NYC in December 1907.
He marries a Minnie Swango in Shelby County in March 1918. And appears
in US censuses for 1920 and 1930. Minnie is killed in a documented
accident in her kitchen in 1931 and her grave is recorded in Forest Hill
Cemetery, Shelbyville. And there my trail for Benjamin/Benjie Craven(s)
goes dead.
I know it's a long shot but if anyone has any ideas or can point me to
any source I'd really appreciate it. I just don't seem able to find any
death record for him anywhere. Or anything else for that matter!
Kind Regards
