Bruce Greene just passed along a message from a county mail list in
Ohio. Apparently mail clients of "rr.com" are being automatically
unsubscribed from the Rootsweb mail list whenever they reply to a digest
post without changing the subject line.
To be safe, whenever you reply to a digest post, change the subject line
and remove previous posts.
I hope everyone is emerging from winter in good health. We beginning to
thaw out here in Shelby County -- just in time to plunge back down to 2
above (F) next Thursday!

1. More *.rr.com <
http://rr.com> subscribers unsubscribed by
Rootsweb due to
'unable to send'. (Chuck Gelm)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear *.rr.com <
http://rr.com> listers:
Four more list subscribers were automatically unsubscribed by the
Rootsweb List server
early this AM because the List server was unable to send messages
addressed to them
(to
rr.com <
http://rr.com>'s incoming mail server).
All 4 were *.rr.com <
http://rr.com> users.
On the 15th there were 7 list subscribers automatically unsubscribed
for the same error.
6 of the 7 were *.rr.com <
http://rr.com> addresses.
These 11 events affect about 5% of this list's subscribers.
This note is hoped to be an early warning for any other *.rr.com
<
http://rr.com> list
subscribers.
Happy hunting, Chuck
vol. admin.
