I'm not familiar with this family but could the E in Julian's name stand for
Eugene?

Subject: [INSHELBY] McDougal/Ensminger
I've been puzzling over the obituary of William McDougal posted at
http://www.shelbycountyindiana.org/obituaries/obit_mcdougall.htm
It says he "was born in Argyshire, Scotland, March 15, 1850" (typo for
Argylshire?), and is survived by a sister, "Mrs. Eugene Ensminger".
I have a Jean McDougal, born 2 Jan 1838 in Argylshire, married to Julian
E. Ensminger. Is this the same woman, or have I missed an Ensminger
somewhere along the line?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Marsha L. Ensminger
