Most likely this is the family:
David Russell m. Hannah Souter 24 May 1855 Franklin Co. IN. In 1850, the family of John
Souter (no age given) b. England was living in Springfield, Franklin Co. Indiana with
Hannah age 16 b. abt. 1834 and Oswell, age 8 b. abt. 1841 Indiana. Oswell is spelled
Oswald in later accounts. Souter is spelled Suiter and Sutor in later accounts. Oswell
Souter served in the Civil War signing up as a private 15 oct 1861 out of Franklin Co. IN
and mustering out in Indianapolis 27 Oct 1864. A female, Ann Souter, age 7 b. abt.
1843, also in the 1850 Census, is living with the William and Nancy McDonald and their
children in Springfield Franklin Co. IN. I think she may have been raised by the
McDonald's after her mother died (in childbirth?), but I'm guessing. Later, Oswell
Souter m. Hannah J. and they lived in Liberty, Labette Co. Kansas. Oswell/Oswald Souter
lives into at least the mid-1930s. Hope this helps.

Subject: [INSHELBY] RUSSELL, David Family - MK
11-25-09
Mrs. David Russell was born in May 1834 in Franklin Co., IN and died Dec. 20, 1902 in
Clinton Co., IN. The interment took place at Waldron, Shelby Co., IN.
Her children: Endora(Mrs. De Witt C. Smith), John of Indianapolis; William of Decatur
Co.; Thomas of Waldron; Eugen of Anders; James who lives in the West; Minnie (Mrs. Clinton
Ulter) of Hope; Viva (Mrs. Silas Balen) of Lafayette. Her husband was David and the obit
indicates he came here (Clinton Co., IN) from their home in Waldron arriving before she
died.
I would like the full name of Mrs. David Russell before marriage; and also the name of the
parents of David Russell and the name of the cemetery where the interment took place. Are
there anyother Russells' buried in this same cemetery?
Thanking in advance for any information that may be provided.
