Thank you for the list of the earliest settlers. If you start at the bottom
of the list with the Haehls and read up you have the Kepples, Beckers and
then George Leiss. These are the german families that Chadwick's was
talking about on page 89in his Shelby County history. And George Leiss has
his name mispelled. Its should be recorded as George Zeiss and he is my
great great grandfather.
