Hello, this is a great idea. My mother was from Shelbyville, Maybelle
Walker, my grandmother Mary Walker was in charge of the Childrens Home
there for years. My Aunt Anne Walker McClain lived and raised her three
sons in Shelbyville. The last time I was there was in 1985 for Hands
Across America, when I heard it was going through Shelbyville, I knew
where I had to join it. Until the last year I had no idea how deep my
roots were there, Thanks to this list and Phyllis, I seem to be related
to most of Shelby County. I was born in Syracuse, NY & raised in
Ithaca, NY and all my trouble comes from not understanding Greek. I now
own a Domino's Pizza in NE Pennsylvania, and live with my wife and 12
year old daughter in Plymouth, PA. I am researching the Walkers,
Browns, Vinsons, Shaws, Marvins, Glardons & associated lines, now way to
numerous to list. I still have one Walker 1st cousin in Indianapolis,
and a McClain 1st cousin somewhere nearby, but my Aunt is in the Masonic
Home and everyone else has moved away or died. I plan on making a visit
sometime in 2001 and hope to meet alot of new "cousins"
