Surname: Herron, Thompson
-------------------------
Bill In reply to your recent e-mail regarding Herrons in and around Shelby,
Bartholomew Indiana counties.... Yes, William Henry Herron, son of George
and Eliza Smith Herron is my line. Last summer you sent me several sheets
of your Herron Notes which I have found to be extremely enlightening. I
agree that the William's are quite confusing. I too would like to know
more about Connie O'Haver's William A Herron. I definately think he relates
to "our branch" as I accept that your William Henry and my George W. were
brothers. I would also assume your William Henry was also the namesake
of George's son and grandson.
I base this likely relationship between Connie O'Haver's William A and
my William Henry because they were living next door to each other in the
1860 Shelby county census. Both were blacksmith's.
Have you checked out any of the Herrons at the Family Search on line? I
have jotted down some names and addreses for those submitting but since
I have hot seen any data for any known person of my line I have hot snail
mailed to learn additional.
Thanks again for sharing your data with me last summer. I have spend a
lot of time reading over it several times and often refering back to it.
I am always intereted in the surname in that area.
