shrp6,
I am a Miller descendant from NY-PA-VA(now WVA). As far as I know, the Miller's stayed in Wetzel Co WVA when the Carney-Terwilliger-Headlee clan moved to Rush Co IN in 1830. Some argument, I heard. It would be fun to find some Miller's here also. My father didn't leave WVA until the 1950s; I am the first to live in Shelby County. phyllis(a)shelbycountyindiana.org

Seek information on Elizabeth Pearce Miller who resided in Shelby Co., IN in 1833 and may have come in as a pioneer. She may have been a sister of Willis Pearce, whose sons, Col. Wm. Willis Pearce, Jr., Colville Pearce and Jonathan Pearce were farmers and in business as pioneers near St. Omer and St. Paul. Any background on her, spouse's name, children, or where she may be buried, would help. Thank you.

Terwilliger: Interesting to learn that there was a Terwilliger in Shelby Co., IN. Nathaniel Terwilliger helped settled the area of Sycamore Twp., Hamilton Co., OH about 1776, where Montgomery, OH is located, along with others from Orange (carved out of Ulster?) Co., NY. There was a Blandina or Dinah Terwilliger married to a Jonathan Paers there during the Revolution. This group of travelers were related to the Willis family of Mahackamack, Orange Co., and seemed to travel with them. Wondering if Elizabeth Pearce Miller of Shelby Co. ca. 1830s connects to this family?
