MCCORKLE - KENNEDY
by Phyllis Miller Fleming
I copied part of the 1883 trial proceedings in the murder of Sheriff Albert
McCorkle. Many witnesses just in this section. Barb says Kennedy
eventually returned to Shelby County with a contrite heart and was only
given jail time for the murder.
Does anyone know which Kennedy family Ed and Gilbert were from? I haven't
even checked for obits yet for Ed or Gilbert, but I will try to do that.
Does anyone know who the red pants boys were or what they represented?
Any tidbits you can add to this story will be appreciated!
