Evidently, Thomas Cotton, as administrator of the estate of William R.
Ensminger, dec'd, had not filed his bi-annual report in a timely manner.
When cited, Mr. Cotton, brings his current report and presents it to the

I'm sure this is just a small part of a larger suit. I found the paperwork
loose in Box 95 of the civil suits. I'll keep my eyes open for the rest of
it. Sounds very interesting. They sent all the way to Iowa to get Robert
Oldham's deposition!
Researching the family of Merry McGuire and Drusilla, his wife. Merry was born in Virginia and relocated to Indiana by 1813 - first in Franklin Co, then Shelby Co, and finally in Marion Co.
Merry is an unusual name for a male but common in this McGuire family. Happy to share what I have on Merry with other descendants. I have this family documented back to the 1760s in Virginia.
Thanks for any help.

If it isn't to much trouble, I think that the Edmund is my ancestor and that
Mary is his second wife.
Most likely the rest are also relatives.
I decend from Eliza Parish/Parrish who married David A.

I would appreciate your input.

Thanks Melinda. This confirms that "Debo" (sic), my ggg-grandmother, is in fact buried in Parrish Cemetery. I'm not sure why I couldn't find the tombstone the last time I was there.
I'm also not sure who the last person you listed is ("James M. Aug 8, 1860 - Apr. 8, 1886"). I don't have a James Swinford in my data that corresponds with these dates.
Who are the Parish families buried in the Cemetery?

Sorry....No listing for her. Henry's stone is just a military marker with no dates. He's in Row 2 - North to South (east side - back of the cemetery) Maybe she's next to him with no stone.

Does your reading by any remote chance list Louisa Andrews Phillips? It's
unknown where she's buried, but I thought I'd take a chance. She died about
1870. Louisa's husband Henry Phillips who died years later is there,
although his stone has been moved and leans against a tree. Would
appreciate reading of the row that Henry is buried in if you have it.
Many thanks,

grandchildren James S. Swinford and Viola Jane Swinford. I visit there about
every year when I'm back in Indiana from my home in Texas, and and I'm
always amazed at how overgrown the markers and headstones are. One of the
last times I was there I found no marker for Deborah, and I'm still
wondering if it was vandalized or just buried in the overgrowth.
Any information on the cemetery and who is buried is extremely appreciated.
