Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Toner's Chapel was on Cemetery Road just past Miller's Cemetery around the
intersection of 250 S....from what I can gather. John Toner had his farm
not far from there at Marietta Road and 250 S.

That one is a suburb of Indianapolis and I'm pretty sure it's in Marion
County.
The ones Melinda and I are talking about are old long forgotten places. The
one I described is a field full of soybeans or corn right now.
Greetings,
I sent Mem, and P, some copies of the goodies. I'm pretty sure we have the
OK to type the Church Records. So, I am asking again, anyone want to help? I
can send you a sample of what I am talking about to see if you would be
interested. We have quite a bit of information at our fingertips.
Cheers!
Lora
I think that this book is still available for purchase at the Grover Museum.
There are pictures of a lot of the homes of the families that have been in
this area for over 100 years.
(i.e. William Wesley Brown Farm, Phillip Hoop Farm, Robert W. DeWitt House,
H.C. Pitts Farm, Toll House, Henry Weingarth Farm, Philip Haehl Farm, Balsar
Fox Homestead, J. C. DePrez House, John Totten Farm, Scheffler Farm, Dr.
Stephen Strickler House and Office, Casterline A. Gibson House, Joel Crum
House, John Mohr Farm, James Smith House, etc.)

I'm still looking for the following, probably in
Hendricks or Addison twps.
---------
Death/Cemetery records for:
William Baker, died Sept.1, 1850 (per Bible record)
Sarah Baker (child), between 1840 and 1850.
-----------
Marriage records (or death) for:
Mary Baker and Nancy Baker, between July 1850 and Jan.
1856.
I THINK I have one for Mary to Jesse Bridges in 1851
in Johnson. not certain. Nothing for Nancy.
----------
Thanks,
Jim

We don't know if there was a trading post, there was a mill back along
the river, north of 400 N. there was a road that ran north. The big
brick house was Phillip Hoops, it hasn't been there long enough to be a
trading post. It is rumored that there was a trading post south of 300
N. just over the Brandywine Twp. line on 450 W.

Carleen,
They came through with no problem. I have no idea why you didn't get a
copy. I haven't seen any bounce mail from you.

P,
Jim said that he thinks that there might have been a trading post in Beech
Grove. He can't remember the name of the home. I know that Marjorie Main
(Ma Kettle) lived out that way in a really big brick home. I don't know
where it is in proximity to where you are talking........have to see it to
understand. You know, I have that Interim Book of Shelby Co. They have one
in the library, too. It shows some pictures of house in Shelby Co. and
tells of others. I bet that if we get the address, it might even be in that
book.
