John,
The vault is closed temporarily while they remove some of the asbestos in
the building. We have been told that we can access the vault again in a few
weeks.

Melinda found some "unfiled" civil cases shortly before they closed the
vault. You will want to use your "find" feature (usually Control 'f')
as there are many names.

The following is a wonderful site sent to me. It all starts with "Saving
Graves" and continues to link from there. There are also certain
countries listed - England, Ireland, Poland etc. I went in the Ireland
one and it only has 5 counties listed, but is interesting. For my Irish
friends - one of the counties is Donegal. Try it ....

Hello Shelbyville High School Alumnus!
I have great news! The Shelbyville High School Alumni Association finally
has an address!
Shelbyville High School Alumni Association
PO. Box 928
Shelbyville, IN 46176
Please join the SHSAA if you haven't already. Membership dues are very
reasonable. One year is $10.
Five years is $25. Ten years is $50. A lifetime membership is incredibly
priced at $100! This is a great deal for anyone planning to live at least
ten more years! Make checks payable to "Shelbyville High School Alumni
Association" and send to the above address. Please write your class year on
your check.
Our next SHSAA meeting will be Tuesday, September 26 at 7:00 at the
Shelbyville Parks and Recreation Conference Room next to the Paul Cross Gym.
(That's the old JR. High or old High School for some of you) Please attend
if you can. Andy Bass (Class of 1980) is driving all the way from
Fort Lauderdale, Florida to be there! That's dedication! If you attend,
bring a few friends. If you can't attend, please inform some friends who
can. We need maximum attendance at this meeting. Please spread the word!
We elected officers at the last SHSAA meeting. Bill McNeely (Class of 1973)
is President. Kathleen Goodwin Schenker (1981) is Vice-President. Carman
Fewell (1985) is Secretary. Pete Sexton (1966) is Treasurer. Other board
members include Matt Sheek (1984), LeAnne Secrest (1981), Rick Haas (1974),
Bob Carmony (1972), Steve Talbert (1981), Mary Jo Phares, and Melinda Fox
(1975). These individuals are dedicated to making sure the Shelbyville High
School Alumni Association and Reunion 2001 succeed. Please support them and
the SHSAA!
The mission of the Shelbyville High School Alumni Association is to preserve
the history of the school and perpetuate the accomplishments of its
students; unify the alumni and promote school spirit; support the school and
youth-oriented organizations in the community.
The success of the SHSAA depends on you and the alumni. Please forward this
message to your alumni friends and family. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Steve Talbert

The obit index page is back online. I think my internet connection must
have been cut off while I was uploading an updated version. Sorry for
the inconvenience.
Thanks, Barb. I probably wouldn't have noticed it until Monday or

Sorry Wanda, I don't know anything about Bill really. Ida was my great

Hi
I wish I knew who my line was. If they were from Indiana I would gues it is.
There has to be a reason both girls came to Indiana at the age of 18 and 13.
I would love a copy . Wanda
Hi Wanda,
I ordered microfilm through the LDS office, in Utah, and had this film sent
to the History Center, here in Jacksonville, Florida. This roll of film is
family bibles. That is all this roll is. There must be 200 on it. I did
see, where Maxwell Addison, son of Maxwell Addison and Nancy Walker, married
Addie Redman. If this is in your line I will be happy to look at it further,
and make copies for you. I am almost 100% positive there is a Redman bible
in this roll. It was the bible record before the Addison bible.
Have a great day,
Lora

help identify the West Union Cem north of Indianapolis, please let
