Surname: Houston, Bryant
-------------------------
I am looking for some information on Andrew Houston, who married Maude
Ellen Bryant, and who had a son, Charles, or
Charles Russell Houston, born on 25 Nov. 1907. All three
were born in Indiana, and possible Maude Ellen , perhaps all three, were
from Shelby Co.
Hi Dorris,
Yikes! I don't know why it said that. If all else fails, I will give you
my home phone number, if you like. As far as "not valid", I don't know.
Just for grins, try typing it in. I had to do that for Jill Knitt, (she is
on the Shelby list, and connect to my Addison's thru the Smalls) and it
worked.

Lora, concerning your offer for look ups at the LDS library. I tried to copy

Do you have any suggestions?

The Liberty Cemetery Association will have its annual meeting Thursday,
August 31 at 7 p.m. at the cemetery. All who have family buried at
Liberty are automatically members of the Association. Other Shelbers
who are interested in this beautiful old Marion Twp cemetery are
welcome.
>From Shelbyville, take S.R. 9 North to 650 North (about 7 miles). Turn right on 650N and follow to end (about 1 mile).
[from PMF - I think you need to go south (right) on Morristown Rd after
650N ends. The lane to the cemetery is on the left (east), after
passing a couple of fields. Someone please jump in and correct me, if
necessary.]
Shelbers,
Dolly Allen Galyean <WarmGale(a)aol.com> has added the ELMORE name to the
surname registry. She is looking for relatives of Edna Rose ALLEN
Elmore. Edna Rose died in Fountaintown, Shelby, IN on 16 Mar 1988. She
was the sister of Dolly's grandfather, Charlie Harper ALLEN. I have
information to share on the rest of the siblings as well as her parents,
Lee Alexander ALLEN and Mary Ann MASTERSON.
Thanks, Dolly.

Greetings from Florida,
I would like to thank everyone, on the list, who has helped me with my
Addison's. I have a LDS Family History Research Facility about a mile and a
half, from my home. I have, just recently, learned my way around the
facility. So, I have found a way I can help some of you. If you find a film
that the LDS Office has, that you would like the information from, email me
the page that has the Title, Note, and Location Film. I will order the film,
and make copies of the information you are interested in, and mail them to
you.. All I ask, is you pay for the film, and copies. Film is $3.50 per
roll, (I think it will stay in that office for 60 days) Microfiche, is .15
cents. Copies are .15 cents, and what ever the postage will be to mail it to
you. I will not charge anything, as I will already be there. It takes 2- 4
weeks for the information to get to that office after you order it. Please
put LDS look up in the subject.
Happy Hunting!

Anita,
According to Anna Tyner's obit, she is buried in the Asbury Cemetery in
Morrisotwn. It is a Large cemetery located in the town of Morristown. The
cemetery should be easy to find, but don't know if there is a stone. They do
have an office at the cemetery.

We will be traveling to Indiana in a week and I would like to
visit and take a picture of the graves of Alpheus and Anna
Eliza TYNER. It is my understanding that they died and were
buried in Morristown, Shelby:
Alpheus,d. 10 Feb 1904 and Anna Eliza, d. 24 Jan 1921.
Do you suppose you could find the cemetery they were buried
in? I have no death certificate proof of their placed of death so
I am not possitive of this information.
Sincerely,

Roberta,
I don't know of any Weaver's in Shelby County that came from PA. As far as
I know, the Weaver's here came from NC & KY. I don't know of any others.
Sorry. I checked the family tree and didn't find a Dorotha Weaver.

I was told as a child that I have a PA Dutch grandma and I think she
might be Dorotha Weaver, who m. Amos Golding in Shelby Co., IN. Amos was b.
1823. I think they're the parents of Dorothy Golding, b. 1841, Shelby Co.,
IN. Dorothy m. Hollister DeWitt and they both died young leaving children to
be reared by a grandfather who lived to be 101.
Can anybody help fill in the information I need?

Someone recently asked for clarification on a Rachel BROWN that married
John COTTON, and then possibly Andrew CHERRY.
I have the estate papers of David BROWN (Rachel's father) and John
COTTON (Rachel's husband) ready to copy - but I didn't keep the email
address of the requestor. I know they were anxious to get the documents
before an upcoming COTTON reunion. Please let me know if you were the
requestor, or if you would like copies of either set of estate papers.
Rachel CHERRY died 14 Feb 1912 in (not big surprise!) Union Twp. If you
want a copy of her death certificate or the info contained therein,
please call or write the Health Dept. The certificate is in book H-24,
page 72. Hopefully the certificate will list the name of her father.
Thanks. Sorry for my spaciness (sp?)
