I'm new to the Shelby County pages and have a simple question for openers.
In which township is Gwynneville located? I'm tracking the Arnold family.
Thanks.
I echo the sentiments of all about the efforts and achievements of
Phyllis in our behalf for INSHELBY. Everything is proessionally done,
informative, and shows real "class."
Thanks Phyllis.

Looks like I never uploaded Union Twp the other day.
A very interesting coverage of this township. It made me wonder who
actually wrote the individual township histories. If they were all
written by the same person, I think the author was from Union Twp, or at
the very least, Union Twp stock.
http://www.rootsweb.com/~inshelby/history_unio.htm
Quite a contrast to the meager coverage of Marion Twp, which seems to
have our earliest history and landmarks....
I hope to round-out the histories soon.
And did I mention there is no history for Shelby Twp yet, as it was
formed after Beers was published?
Thanks in advance for proofreading!

Darlene,
I just noticed your surname. I am researching COLLINS in Shelby Co. My
great-grandmother was Hannah Collins, b. Mar 8,1828 in Madison Co, KY, died
Aug 15, 1855 at Marietta, IN., daughter of David Collins and Martha "Patsy"
Burton. david was born 1794-1796 in NC I believe to William Collins &
Elizabeth Bailey. Do you see a connection to your line.?

Hello,
I'm looking for info on Robert McNeeley, died around 1828 I believe. Is this William McNeeley Jrs brother? and need to know if Robert had any children. I'm helping Mr. Holmes on this.
Thanks,

All of you have got it right with Phyllis and the Shelby Co. Website. One
of the best I have used.
She has really worked hard at it and has got it all put together quickly.
Thanks Phyllis!!!!!
Wish they were all as informative and had all the same type of information
that this one has.

I have added the administrator's report and settlement to the Joseph
ALLEN estate papers. The probate papers are missing from the file box.
Kathryn Jennings has had to reconstruct the probate process from the
Probate Order books.

Thank you Phyllis for the Township Histories. You did a wonderful job. I
Would say that! LOL, Since I found 2 of my ancestors in the Hanover Twp
history. Levi Young is my gg-grandfather and Moses Kitchell is his wife's ,
Lucindas, grandfather and so my gggg-grandfather!
To all the Young researchers in Shelby: I am leaning toward Levi being
connected to Nathan Young,( maybe a brother) , and of the NJ set of Youngs
and not the KY line. Someone gave me information on the line Nathan came from
but I lost so much changing over to a new pc. Would that person please send
me that again? I may have not had a printer at the time I got it. Thanks
again, Phyllis, our county site has really come a long way and you all have
worked so hard for us. Carleen Carnivale

I can't get Rootsweb to respond to check them, but they should be there!

I have added the township histories as reported by Beers in the 1880
_Atlas..._
If you find typos - please let me know (I didn't proofread them).
If you had ancestors in early Shelby Co, would you please look at the
names listed. I think there are some spelling errors (other than
spelling variations).
